Leesa &Clint, Nottoway Plantation | First Look | Leesa's grandmotherLeesa hoped to wear her grandmother's dress, but it wasn't preserved and wasn't in great shape. We salvaged the lace trim from the skirt to use on Leesa's dress. |

Leesa found a simple A-line dress and purchased it off the rack. Then she came to us to help her make it look more like her grandmother's dress did.We make a lace bolero and incorporated lace from her mother and grandmother's dresses in the skirt. | Lace from grandmother's dressWe removed the old beading and hand beaded new sequins and pearls. | detailsHere you can see some of the beading on the bolero, & her gorgeous bold colored bouquet. |
Leesa's motherWe incorporated lace from her dress along the hem of Leesa's. | DetailsLace from her mother's dress that we hand beaded with sequins and pearls. | Grandmother's first lookLeesa didn't tell her grandmother that her dress was the inspiration for Leesa's gown. So she was happily surprised. |
Grandmother's first lookI just love her reaction! | Grandmother's first lookSo sweet | Grandmother's first look |

Here comes the bride! | Leesa with her bridal partyI had the honor of standing in their wedding, along with my daughter, and some other really sweet ladies. | Leesa and Clint |
Preserving the collaborationHere's a sketch of Leesa's gown along with photos of her mom and grandmother on their wedding day and lace and buttons from their dresses. | The buttons on the back of the bolero are from her mom's dress. The veil was her mom's. We simply remove it from that fancy headpiece and sewed it to a new comb. |
